Porridge for Baby
Enjoying a homemade porridge of oats, chia and flax, pulsed in the food processor and cooked on the stovetop with water, local cream, cinnamon and organic raisins.
Little bugger has been picky lately. He likes meat, cheese and apples anytime but most other things get thrown on the floor or pushed away. I'm glad he liked this the last two days. Even eggs have fallen out of his favor recently.
Apparently breastmilk tastes better than everything, except meat.
Yesterday he was very excited about being handed half a pork steak, after pointing and whining about said pork steak, which he held and munched on for quite some time. He's starting to smell like beef stew. That beefy smell I remember DD having, she liked meat too.
Seems his job lately is to throw everything on the floor. Everything. And preferably on the floor in a different room so it must be picked up AND moved to it's proper room. The floor of my office looks like a war zone with all the markers, pencils and papers that the big kids leave out, now, all over the floor, markers without caps, half eaten crayons, crumpled up chewed on papers. He opens drawers now, sticking his hand as far in as he can to grab whatever he can, so he can inspect it and throw it on the floor.
Sleeping times aren't going much better. Bugger wakes me up no later than 7:30 AM. That's before 9 AM, which is my usual wake up time. This doesn't sit well with me. By 9 AM he is cranky and insisting on taking a morning nap! This is not acceptable.
My third complaint is his new Houdini tricks. No high chair in the world could keep him buckled in. At least not the 1950's chair we have that uses an old belt. I need a five point harness.
I think he's going to start turning door knobs next. I can tell he's trying. There will be no stopping him after that.
